Everything was perfect; all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room and hotel was lovely and the food was fantastic. I stayed one night for work and would certainly return. The room and facilities were very comfortable with all the details considered.

Lovely welcome from staff member. The restaurant looked very inviting. We were shown to our room, which was really nice. Everything we needed was there. The bed was comfy. A plentiful continental breakfast was brought to our room in a picnic basket at 9am the next day.

Lots of character and I thought, a good location for where I was going for an evening event. Staff were very kind.

Friendly greeting and pub vibe. Room was perfect, we were warned about potential noise of live music etc, but no events on the evening we stayed. Room had more than we expected, tea/coffee etc, fresh orange juice and mini fridge. Clean, hot shower and enjoyed our stay…perfect for our trip to the Thursford Spectacular. It was also a ‘proper’ pub & hope it stays that way 🤞Will stay again, thank you!
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Really lovely pub in lovely location. Food was good, had dinner here and staff also went out of their way to help entertain a tired little girl who was having a late dinner with us before bed. Breakfast was great. Had a great one night stay over a weekend here. Beds were really comfortable and towels etc were all really nice, kettle and tv also great.
The whole property is immaculate! Everything is clean, neat and tidy. Every detail of this beautiful little hideaway screams luxury. From the rustic but modern lighting and fixtures, to the big bath and super comfortable bed. Mark sure does have a great eye for detail. The living room TV allows you to connect to Netflix etc while you get cozy in front of the stocked log burner. The location is ideal for those that want a quiet and relaxing break away, and the Dabbling Duck opposite offers great food and a cozy atmosphere.
Lovely and comfortable apartment. It had everything we needed. We had dinner at the Dabbling Duck pub opposite, breakfast at Whittles in Castle Acre followed by a walk around the castle ruins, afternoon tea at the Cartshed ( below apartment) and breakfast there the next day. We also had a lovely walk around West Acre gardens, nursery and cafe. Finished with a drive to the coast.
Interesting gastro pub in a lovely old village functioning as both local bar and reasonably good restaurant. Our room in the adjacent annex was huge, well-equipped and very comfortable. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast a bit chaotic (see comments under "What didn't you like").
Loved the location and the food, both at breakfast and dinner, was delicious. Our room, Pidgeon one of the garden rooms, was spacious with a huge bed. The staff were lovely, helpful and polite.
Fantastic village pub/ B&B, sat on village green and surrounded by picturesque countryside.
Welcoming staff on arrival sorted out checking in with ease and showed me to my room.
Resturant does exceptional, high quality food, both for dinner and breakfast.
Local village shop across the road also provides good food for day trips.
Lovely hotel in charming village. Dinner was excellent, very high quality food, would recommend to others as great place to stay
