Excellent stay at the fabulous Hare and Hounds Levens. We stayed in the 'Barn Annexe' a self contained apartment, and doggy could stay too !
The Annexe is very comfortable and cosy, extremely well decorated and furnished and well equipped kitchen.
Breakfast was in the Pub both mornings we were there, loads of choice of cereals, yogurts and fruit as well as a cooked menu to choose from.
We also ate in the Pub one of the evenings, again an excellent menu.
All in all it was Perfect. Location, accommodation and the Staff are so helpful and friendly.

The Red Lion is a great place to stay if you like to be a bit rural but within touching distance of the more busier areas. The breakfast was brilliant, the room was lovely and clean with a great shower. We couldn’t fault The Red Lion at all.

Cereal and yoghurts for breakfast. The view was of a wall. But that didn't bother us only somewhere to sleep whilst visiting family
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The bed was so comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. The food was superb. I actually saw a badger in the garden one evening. The couple who run the guest house were friendly and very helpful.

Loved the food - there was always a selection of really lovely stuff for dinner, and the breakfast menu was great. The staff were super nice and always helpful. The room was really comfortable.
Superb stay in a luxurious room made special with pre dinner cocktails followed by a delicious three course evening meal and an excellent breakfast selection perfectly cooked either from a buffet or to order from the kitchen. All accompanied by great service.
Best guest house I've encountered in many years of travel,excellent owners Jean and Shawn look after you well from the outset. Room clean with plenty of tea ,coffee and chocolate available. The place is beautifully situated in the country but close to town. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choices.
Location near nice places to walk , historical interest and vibrant small town. Interesting old building with pleasant accomodation and beautiful garden with terraces looking across the water. Good food, we had dinner and breakfast
The food was lovely we had a Sunday dinner and nice breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Some nice touches such as hand-wash, hand cream, shower gel, apple juice and complementary biscuits. All local produce. The pub was cosy with a log fire and rustic feel. We had stayed in Scotland for weekend so was just a stopover to break up the journey home so was good for what we needed.
