We loved staying at The Three Horseshoes. Our room was gorgeous, and the food so good. We ate at the pub the night we arrived and had intended to eat elsewhere on our 2nd night but enjoyed it so much we came back and ate at the pub again. But what made The Three Horseshoes really lovely were the staff - friendly, helpful, and just so welcoming, from Daryl to the servers in the restaurant, to the lovely cleaner who we chatted to before we left and who had such pride in her work and in The Three Horseshoes family. We just booked to come back for our next visit in a few weeks, when we're back up to watch Sunderland again!

The room was next to the lift and was so noisy all night, I would not stay again because of this
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Breakfast was nice although a little expensive as we only had a bacon /sausage bap as didn't fancy full English but was charged same price as a full English.
Dinner was nice , we had burgers and chips and was delicious and staff were great.
Room was clean apart from the bathroom which we had to kill a couple of moths enjoying life on the shower floor towel.
could have done with a fan for room as was a very hot night and even with window open was stifling.
Lovely hotel in a country inn, great rooms very clean and modern, breakfast was excellent, service very good, only thing that spoilt it for us were the very noisy people in room 7 next door coming in at 1.30 am shouting and slamming doors !
Lovely location out the way but still quickly accessible to main roads. Cosy traditional pub with good beers and top quality food (breakfast & dinners) You won’t go hungry. Attached to lovely modern rooms immaculate with en-suite wet room style bathroom. Helpful friendly staff. Felt looked after.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff. Dinner was lovely, it is value for money. Breakfast was good, you have to fill in night before what you would like. It would help if they said what was in full English, so know what you are getting
Excellent location for access to Newcastle/Gateshead and nearby park and ride at Heworth metro station, plus ample free on site parking at the hotel.
Clean modern room with tea/coffee making facilities. Quiet location despite close proximity to the A1 motorway.
Good value and quality breakfast and dinner choices, all staff very friendly and helpful.
