We got the room with the ocean view, which was new and very comfy. The weather was cold (August 2024), but we had heated room in the morning. People were extremely friendly, polite and accommodating (we arrived later than expected and they stayed longer to make us dinner).
There is small store beside having all kind of food to go. Very convenient for travelers.
The main hotel building is now under new ownership (previous owner holding onto Beach House rooms) Changes required to property description as follows: On the banks of Loch Lomond, this Traditional...

The staff were really helpful and friendly (and I include the waiting staff in the restaurant in this)
It was immaculately clean and the food was amazing
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Very welcoming staff ! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food at the restaurant was great as well. Extra thanks to Jamie who greeted us in Icelandic and made us feel very welcoming ! Takk fyrir okkur Jamie og takk fyrir bjórinn ;)
The Anchor Inn was great. The staff and the locals were very friendly and the banter was great. The food from breakfast to dining in the evening was very good and appetising. Our room was spacious with plenty of room and very clean. The housekeepers were nice and friendly and were there if we needed anything. The view was lovely too. Wished we could have stayed longer than the 10 days.
The room was lovely, overlooking the Loch. It had a sitting room and kitchen attached, which we didn't use as we ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food was lovely, ample and freshly cooked.
The room was cleaned and tidied every day.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful with ideas of where to visit.
Our stay at The Anchor Inn was perfect, every single aspect was flawless, Kris and his staff were fantastic people, mixing a professional approach with humour and attention to detail perfectly, we have stayed at a lot of guest venues this year and The Anchor Team are in a different league, I will recommend this place without hesitation and most definitely look forward to returning, Well done guys 👏
Location٫ plenty of places to park. Spacious room with beautiful views passed the road in front of Inn.
Lovely staff٫Gary٫ (I think) very attentitive with ensuring we were happy with the two family rooms. Beautiful location and well worth the stay!
Lovely large, clean rooms with a nice view of the Loch. Had a great evening at the Anchor Inn pub - their dinners and breakfasts were both fantastic! would 10/10 recommend.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the place definitely had a road-side-inn atmosphere. The room was comfortable and the pub served food till late as well as provided breakfast.
