The Black Horse Inn, hotel in Gainsborough

The Black Horse Inn in Gainsborough provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar.

As I was having training at Blyton Park race trace the location is perfect as it’s only 2 miles away, I paid £55 per night so an absolute bargain cost wise. The room was clean and tidy with fresh towels each day. The pub itself is ran like a well oiled machine, the staff are 100% on it, food came out hot, tasty and within minutes from ordering! Over the 3 nights I had the chilli, steak pie and the sausages & mash, all were great 👍

The Loco, hotel in Gainsborough

Karen was very friendly and helpful, the room was on the smaller size but was clean and tidy and the bed was so comfy. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a modern style. We were there for a wedding so tbh didn't need to know about the area but it's a quiet little village street, roadside parking, and a coop close by

The Dovecote Inn, hotel in Gainsborough

In the heart of the historic village of Laxton, The Dovecote Inn is a charming traditional inn offering fine food and rooms that are spacious and full of character. Wi-fi is free.

The owner was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, carrying our bags and chatting. Bar staff were efficient even though the bar/restaurant were pretty busy for an early weekday evening. Food was hot and tasty. We were given the continental breakfast when we left the pub. There was more than enough for the two of us. Our room was spotless and spacious and the bed was supremely comfortable so we slept very well.

Staying to go to a funeral locally. Just looking for an overnight but would return for a longer stay and play the golf course as well. Super comfy bed and really quiet. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. The wake was also at the venue and the food was excellent. As a golf club so not open for dinner in the evening but a quick trip into town for food.

Lovely quirky B+B with a superb breakfast - best one I have ever had at a B+B. Ideal stopover for the Blyton Park race track. Lovely to see chickens, sheep and a turkey wandering around the grounds of the farm. Hugh, the owner, is a very friendly chap and very knowledgeable. The nearby Rose and Crown do a great sunday carvery roast dinner

An unexpectedly lovely little hotel. Was concerned when I saw it was only 2 star, but it was well appointed, comfortable, clean and breakfast was excellent. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, so can't comment on that; another time!

The room was independent of the main building, was situated on the ground floor and within easy reach of the car park. I was pleased with the area of space in the room which exceeded my expectations and the water supply in the bathroom was very hot and supplied with plenty of pressure. The menu in the Inn was extensive and prepared and served to a good standard

Didn't have breakfast as leaving early next morning but lunch and evening dinner was very good and value for money. The only down side would be they don't supply bottle water in room for the kettle. And that's being really picky. Great stopp over for my requirements
