The George was better than expected. The public areas were clean. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing, nothing too much trouble.
We were attending a wedding function in a different area and the staff were extremely helpful in offering to book taxis etc.

Lovely staff (Mo and Tim) who made us feel so comfortable and welcome!
On our first night there was a table skittles tournament against another pub... The locals and visitors were so welcoming and treated us like 'one of them' explaining how the game worked and even allowing me to have a little go!
The food was exceptional and reasonably priced, I enjoyed the BBQ glazed pork so much I had exactly the same the following evening!
The room was perfect, clean, a nice size and very quiet!
We were lucky enough to have wonderful weather so was able to enjoy the gorgeous garden area.
The cleaning staff were so friendly and hospitable clearly doing a fantastic job!
A really lovely stay! Thank you!

Lovely pub with rooms. Every member of staff was very friendly and welcoming, particularly Grace. By good fortune we had the king room which we highly recommend. Lots of room, comfortable bed and good en-suite. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
We extended our break, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Food was exceptional, breakfast, lunch and dinner - highly recommend.
Will definately return.
Thank you for a delightful stay.
We arrived after a walk, the room was ready earlier than we were expected, clean and well appointed. We had an amazing lunch, highly recommend the rustic lunch, great value for money, and absolutely delicious. We also had dinner, again, amazing food, and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was friendly and hospitable. We will revisit!
The room was spacious and very clean. There was a kettle, little refrigerator, and hairdryer provided. Coffee and tea were available.
TV but no microwave.
The owners were fabulous. Meals were very tasty, and plenty of chips to go round.
Location of the Inn is off the main road. There is a large parking area and a large garden for summer to enjoy drink or food in the summer.
Will definitely be back.
The dinner and full breakfast were both delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed - even a mini fridge! We would not hesitate to recommend this pub/hotel and look forward to returning sometime.
We chose the location for a stopover between Yorkshire and the Home Counties. It has easy access to the M1. The drinks and dinner were exceptional value for money.
What a welcome! Lovely friendly people, super rooms and great breakfast.
Also a lovely location, went for a stroll after breakfast and could have walked for miles, a pretty village with lovely surrounding areas.
Wish we'd had chance for dinner too, as it looks like a great menu and friends that did eat raved about the food and value for money.
We'll be back I hope!!
The staff were great from start to finish: welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout.
Excellent dinner and breaklfast, really couldn't have asked for too much more for the price.
Eveing meal was a wonderful taste sensation. Perfect steak on stone and innovative flavours to accompany it.
