The Saracens Head Inn, hotel in Fownhope

Set on the banks of the River Wye, The Saracens Head Inn offers light, modern rooms with free WiFi and private bathrooms. Guests can enjoy freshly cooked breakfasts and seasonal meals.

Excellent location, food and staff were so accommodating as we had a small dog in our group (he stayed at the Royal Lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him! Staff were also very forgiving when we set off the fire alarm with a birthday cake candle ! The location is fantastic as we were lucky enough to have the room with balcony overlooking the rope ferry etc !

Great location as I have family nearby. Quiet area. I was in ‘the Globe’ and the room was very spacious and comfortable. After I vacated, I realised I’d lost my glasses so went back to the pub to seevif I’d left them there. The lady who was cleaning went out if her way to look for them but couldn’t find then. A bit later, she brought them to where I was staying! I am so grateful to her for her kindness as I needed them to drive home!

Three Horseshoes Inn, hotel in Fownhope

Perfectly located in the idyllic Herefordshire countryside, The Three Horseshoes Inn is a friendly 17th-century family inn, offering private guest accommodation.

The property , whilst old , was very homely and friendly. It had charm and character and very much came across as a tradition local pub. When we visited , it had just been decorated and brightened up and we loved the fresh look. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do more for us.The food was traditional pub food of excellent quality and price.
