Excellent location, food and staff were so accommodating as we had a small dog in our group (he stayed at the Royal Lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him! Staff were also very forgiving when we set off the fire alarm with a birthday cake candle ! The location is fantastic as we were lucky enough to have the room with balcony overlooking the rope ferry etc !

The pub onsite was amazing, good staff, drinks and food. Rooms are quaint and have a lovely feel to them, facilities aren't super modern, but they are clean and everything works just how you'd like.

Great location as I have family nearby. Quiet area. I was in ‘the Globe’ and the room was very spacious and comfortable. After I vacated, I realised I’d lost my glasses so went back to the pub to seevif I’d left them there. The lady who was cleaning went out if her way to look for them but couldn’t find then. A bit later, she brought them to where I was staying! I am so grateful to her for her kindness as I needed them to drive home!

The property , whilst old , was very homely and friendly. It had charm and character and very much came across as a tradition local pub. When we visited , it had just been decorated and brightened up and we loved the fresh look. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do more for us.The food was traditional pub food of excellent quality and price.

I have visited the Chase Inn several times when I am in Herefordshire for work and am a happy repeat customer! The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are very accommodating with me arriving later in the evening and needing to set off early in the morning.

Easy to find with good parking and very friendly staff
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Dinners were good with reasonable selection. The fish was very good. The bar was well stocked with local products. Fownhope was a good location from which to explore the area.
Great location for exploring the local area. All staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed all our meals (4 breakfasts and 2 dinners). The garden was lovely and well maintained, perfect for sitting out on a sunny evening. The bathroom was super. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely characterful property. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms with modern decor and quality fittings. We enjoyed a drink in the garden and a pleasant walk through the village after dinner.
Overnight stay in this incredible historic Inn. Extremely well refurbished, felt original but as comfortable as a modern hotel.
Very good evening meal, reasonably priced menu, good full English breakfast.
Competitively priced for the area, nice gardens and adequate parking
Dinner a little posh for me, but good quality. Room excellent, warm, clean and very comfortable. En-suite was very well kitted out, clean and new.
