On arrival we received a warm welcome. Plenty of free parking which is a massive plus. The guest house is immaculately decorated and maintained. We found the rooms very comfortable and slept well. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning is very well organised and delicious. It is very rare to say that this guest house is run to the highest standards and service you could possibly want when you’re looking for accommodation away from home.

The excellent Margarita, b&b manager, welcoming and helpful. Though the room was small, space was optimised in such a way it was adequate for my needs. The harbour and beach are only a 10min walk from the guest house.

Breakfast ok. Dinner menu limited and freezer food but ok for an overnight though same price as decent pub food though it wasn’t that standard. Appreciate that it would be kitchen staff not chef doing food.

From arriving at the Westward I was impressed with the service - specifically by Shae, who welcomed us. A wonderful blend of detail and the need to get settled quickly led to us being in the room with dinner planned in less than 10 minutes. Packed breakfasts for early morning departures took addressed yet another challenge having arrived late that evening. People make the difference. Shae is brilliant at his job.

I stayed at the Kentmere guest house twice, once on the way to France and on the return, the host was very welcoming and freindly, the room spacious for a one night stay, breakfast was supberb and freshly cooked, the hotel is very close to the centre of Folkstone yet only 15mins from the Channel Tunnel. The host had some great recomendations of places to eat,

This is an "old school" guest house, not a boutique type estBlishment. Our room was an adequate size with a small but perfectly functional en-suite. The bed was comfortable. Our breakfast was just what we wanted it to be. Our hostess was lovely! Very friendly and helpful. She also recommended a great restaurant for dinner (Rosemont). The next time we need an overnight stop on our way to France, we will certainly stay here again.
