The room was quite appropriate, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast (included) was quite good with ample variety to satisfy. The dining room offers dinner opportunities which we took on two occasions over the three-night stay - excellent menu and very well-prepared food.

The Red Lion Tavern had a power cut and no means of cooking a breakfast, however a staff member had made us a packed lunch and then the power came back on so we had a cooked breakfast after all, and a packed lunch. We had been caught up in the blizzard on M9 as the roads were closed. We tried alternative routes but same problem, this time flooding. By this time we decided to look for accommodation for the night and found the Tavern online. We were made welcome and happy with our room. All the staff were excellent.

My dinner and breakfast were perfect. I had a very generous helping of food each time. There must be a really good chef there. The room was really nice and so cosy which I was delighted about as it was a cold night.

Village pub, but with large bedrooms. Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was served but they recommended another hotel close by and we had a lovely dinner. Village was quiet, which was good as the hotel is on the main road.
