All the staff were lovely - I might be considered a little fussy but Lucy went the extra mile to arrange my lovely meals to ensure everything was as I asked despite my going a little off piste! Good luck at Uni Sophi-aaa!

Friendly reception every time I appeared , on arrival , for dinner , for breakfast, a family feel to the place which is an antidote to the soulless corporate chains.
Food is cooked to order and of very high quality with a saffa twist.
Rooms are well appointed with quirky furnishings

The room was very comfortable and clean... well presented. A good shower, and plenty of hot water.
We had dinner on the evening of our stay, and it was excellent. Good food, well presented, and the staff were first class... very friendly and attentive to our every need.

All the rooms were quaint with little extended areas. Superior suite was superior.
Only stopped for one night for a local wedding. Quaint bar with quaint relics on display everywhere. Lovely breakfast. No complaints. Recommended
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Lovely pub, excellent staff and landlord. Lovely and clean. Enjoyed the pies for our dinner. Beautiful village. Accommodation was just what we needed on our cycling tour of the king Alfred’s way. Would definately recommend it.
Our room was nice, it was quiet and the beds were comfortable. There was air conditioning and tea and biscuits. The staff were all very friendly. We had dinner in the pub which was convenient! The food was good although the wine seemed very expensive. Breakfast was great, a good cold buffet and lots of options for hot food. Including a few plant based options.
The room was a little noisy with the road proximity. Breakfast was excellent and we arrived early but everything was ready. Dinner was good but we had to wait a while.
Clean comfortable room with aircon turned on in advance of arrival on warm day. Very cheerful helpful and accomodating staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
We just spent one night en route elsewhere, so didn't have a chance to use the spa facilities but the room, bed, shower, dinner and breakfast were all excellent. It was particularly helpful to have a proper desk in the room as I had to take an online video call the following morning. My husband sat in the pheasant garden meanwhile - it's well off the main road, so very quiet. Definitely recommend!
Great breakfast options included. Fab location for visiting the uni open day. Staff were polite, friendly and informative. Had a delicious dinner, a very comfortable sleep, and overall a great experience. We only took a picture of our starters as our meal was so good we dived into the main and dessert straight away.
