As we went in to the hotel the friendliness was the first thing we noticed. Then the cleanliness. This was exceptional even though it is a very old hotel. The breakfasts were wonderful as was the food at dinner - not forgetting the lovely wine!!There was nothing we could criticise

Excellent food experience for both dinner (which was optional) and breakfast (which was included). There is an obvious pride evident in the food served and the upkeep of the venue. Well done! This was not our first visit and it will not be the last!

Fantastic atmosphere in the pub, and a great countryside view out of the window in our room (Room 3). The shower was powerful and the bed comfortable. Amazing breakfast, and we had dinner twice - both times is was very high quality rustic food. Enjoyed the bird centre, the visitor centre and general views of Kielder Water.
