The Swan at Grasmere- The Inn Collection Group has recently been refurbished and features rooms with attached bathroom, 2 bars and a beer garden overlooking the fells.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Very cute beautifully renovated lakes district hotel. Dinner was great. The hotel is minutes from some wonderful hikes. We did a loop including loughrigg and Grasmere after chatting with the restaurant staff it's great value compared to the hotels in the larger towns too.
It is a very nice property and well located. We reorganize the dinner table from the kitchen to the garden room during our stay to enjoy the view of the garden.
The SPA was a nice feature.
Beautifully situated inn with good pub including terrace. Good quality room and very welcoming atmosphere and homely feel. Good and plentiful breakfast; everything you need for a day hiking in the Lake District.

The bathroom was modern and lovely and clean. The view from room was beautiful and bed was comfy . Breakfast was delicious - eggs florentine / Benedict . Dinner had a poor vegetarian selection as like other restaurants in Cumbria and the gnocchi was small and mediocre and expensive.
My husband and I came for an overnight stay with our golden retriever. The room was very comfortable and clean. The setting was absolutely beautiful, a lovely coffee shop across the road selling cakes and ice cream with an outdoor seating area. A fabulous walk alongside the stream which brings you out at a lovely shop and Cafe, with amazing scenery along the way. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the Inn and a gorgeous breakfast. Sheep wondering around grazing on the lawn infront of the pub what more could you ask for? 😃
Location. Comfort. Value for money. Everything really. Absolutely loved it. And Winnie loved it too. She was well and truly worn out in the end, as were we. Stunning location. Great pub at the bottom of the hill too. Wonderful lamb shanks!
Breakfast was awesome, Dinner was awesome too. I like that you eat together so you can chat with other occupants. There's a nice lounge area and a nice area to sit outside. I really like that the rooms are 6 beds and not like 12+ like some Hostels.
Location is great, super convenient bus route, nice pub in the village.
