Breakfast items were plentifully provided in each room, where the continental breakfast was self-prepared. A table and two chairs were in each room. Cereals, juice, milk, tea/coffe, fruit, bread, croisants and jams provided. Very enjoyable and relaxing.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left there was a warm inviting atmosphere. The owners and staff were lovely..
The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean. We had all the facilities we required. The bed was comfortable which added to having a good night's sleep.
We eat there on both nights as the food was of such good quality and staff were very efficient and friendly.

We had breakfast and an evening meal. Both were very good, they specialise in pie's, my wife and I had a different choice and both were very nice. The breakfast had the normal choices and some were a little different, same again, all very nice. The Lady who served us was brilliant.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Last minute booking due to a change in work schedule. RK and his team could not have been more welcoming and ensured they could accommodate us. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and excellent value for money. Will be using The Forest Lodge on future business trips.
The location close to Sherwood Forest attractions was very good. The hotel was spacious and comfortable. The dinner was standard but good pub food. The breakfast was tasty and substantial.
Friendliness of staff. Ease of check in. Staff went out of their way to ensure I had dinner, despite the kitchen being officially closed..
Breakfast service quick with good food.
Lovely traditional coaching Inn in a great location for visiting the areas attractions, very friendly attentive staff very varied menu with well cooked and presented food, gorgeous cooked breakfast. All in all very Good value for money.
I had a lovely stay at the The Forest Lodge. I had dinner at the pub on both nights that I was there, and the menu had a good range of choices. Breakfast was also really good. My room was comfy and had what I needed. Even though it was by the road, it was nice and quiet. Very friendly staff that made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller.
Nice full English breakfast was available and was cooked to order. Was not there for dinner so can't comment on that. The room was a bit outdated and could do with an upgrade but it was clean and was quite sufficient for what we needed. Our room towels and drinks were also replaced even though we hadn't requested it which was a bonus! We were attending the local 3 day music festival so the location was excellent for this!
Quirky property in a lovely village, close to Sherwood Forest. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had all you needed for the stay, including tea and coffee making facilities. We had dinner one evening and breakfast - the food was excellent
