This is a quant bed/breakfast/tavern. We had a great dinner and drinks when we arrived and breakfast the next morning was cooked to order and excellent. The room was charming. You have the climb the stairs to get around this historic building, but the rooms were nice. The location is right in the middle of this historic town of Hexham. It was a great spot to stay when touring Hadrian's wall.

Great location for our needs, just a few minutes from family in the area. The staff are amazing, so welcoming and helpful and the pub has a great selection of ales. It was very cosy and we had family members over for dinner on the Saturday night. Good value food. The breakfast was great too.

There was a friendly warm reception - they went out of their way to help where they could. Local advice and guidance and even sorted out an issue with a local taxi firm for us . Food was great - large portions and came away very full after both dinner and breakfast.

What a fabulous place to stop over on our trip, a lovely location & our room was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious as was the late night snack they put together for us as we were so late arriving, we’d missed our dinner. All the staff were amazingly helpful n made our stay very enjoyable indeed … I can but highly recommend.
