Fond memories of our night at the Engine Inn. Mostly of the cheeky bartender and a couple on a getaway weekend. (Babs, you know i'm talking about you!) Food was great, company was great. Together with family, it was a good night in Holker!!

The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was very nice. The chef was very accommodating and made a lovely sandwich for me in the morning as I was getting an early(ish) taxi to the station.

Excellent location for our needs. Breakfast was great. Our host was gracious and took the time to tell us a little something about the home and area.

I stayed here as I was working on a local school the accommodation Very clean staff were very helpful and accommodating I would recommend Number 19 Guest House to my friends.
Quiet location even with the inn next door, very quaint and cosy cottage. Most beds were comfy. Kitchen very well equipped with coffee, tea and milk provided. Good wifi connection. Free parking on premises. Staff were lovely.
The Inn was superb. Our room was luxurious with a balcony & spotlessly clean.
The staff were very friendly & helpful
The Gourmet Burgers were the best we've ever tasted. Breakfast was amazing, & well presented.
Highly recommended to anyone.
Mark, Tom and Lauren made this a memorable stay. The drinks, food and accommodation were outstanding and I should add that I don’t use this term lightly. Accommodation was of the highest standard having been tastefully furnished and decorated. They used the best of ingredients for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast, in particular, was presented with flair and imagination. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay. The locals were particularly friendly, welcoming and entertaining.
This is the second time we have stayed at The Black Dog Inn. We love it here and can't wait to stay again. The rooms are lovely, modern and clean. All staff are lovely and friendly and the food is exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Warm welcome when we arrived, the room was amazing, brilliant value, a table had been reserved for us for dinner and the food was lovely. The breakfast exceeded expectations and every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly. Location was easy to find.
