3 star Hotel, 5 star values. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, very clean and welcoming. Old building but modernised, the bed had 3 USBs on either side. The food was amazing in the restaurant as well as breakfast. Really recommend this hotel.

The family room was great and the beds very comfortable. The service at breakfast was quick and the food lovely. Excellent location, right on the sea front. Whilst only a few parking spaces for the guest house we found parking outside on a side street, even in the school summer holidays when it is busy. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Wonderful room, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The silent running mini fridge and dinner plates with cutlery were particularly great ideas. The breakfast, attentiveness and service throughout were the equal of a very, very good 5-star hotel. Would recommend to anybody.

The location was very good. We had a front facing room overlooking the sea. Walking distance into the town and beach. Refurbishment of the hotel was very attractive and in keeping with the original style. Many features were maintained which made the stay enjoyable. A very helpful member of staff helped my elderly mother find her way back to our room when she got lost late at night. We also had dinner in the restaurant. The locally sourced food was well presented and tasted delicious.

Room was large and had lovely sea view. Breakfast was quite good and dinner was also good but not cheap. Pool was pleasant too and not too busy for school holidays.

Have visited the Red Lion before for drinks & food but never stayed there. It didn't disappoint. Very nice welcome at check in. Much appreciated given the awful weather on arrival! Our Seaview room was spacious, had a good Seaview with very comfy double seat in the bay window. Room & bathroom were spotless & beautifully presented. A little welcome gift was a nice touch. Food at dinner was excellent & nicely presented. Service was good. Food at breakfast also very nice. Staff very pleasant & friendly.
