Liked the quirkiness of it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was bright and clean with a lovely view of the countryside. Food was lovely but a couple of times it was slow to arrive.

Space to park too which was useful. Very close to nice walks and towns. Thank you for having us :)

Our room was a good size with a large en-suite shower room with basin and loo. The room was quiet although naturally some noise of footsteps from the room above. The breakfast and dinner were excellent - lovely home cooked food.

We chose The Labouring Man because of the proximity to South Downs walks and sites to visit and it was a good choice for that purpose. It is small ( only 4 rooms I think) with comfortable , clean nicely decorated rooms with a settee and space for cases. The rate included a nice breakfast. The dinner menu has a number of good choices.

The Landlord, Martin, is very welcoming, as are the locals of the pub. We stayed in a king room with an extremely comfortable bed, allowing us to enjoy the most relaxing sleep. Food quality was exceptional. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were outstanding. Decor is spectacular. Based in the sticks, with the most picturesque landscapes. I can't wait to return in the summer. Recommended.
