Just 10 miles from Bath and 14 miles from Bristol, Crown Inn at Tolldown offers stylish self-contained accommodation and a high-quality food menu.

Loved the staff! So friendly and helpful, really made the In. Standout, the accommodation was good, although it could have been improved with a small fridge and Terry Tea Bags! (Not a fan of designer tea bags 😎) Good was brilliant and quite reasonable priced as well!

The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom, which was dirty, without loo roll and smelt bad. The bed and linen were okay. The pub turns into a nightclub, complete with bouncers. The music was extremely loud and went on until about 1am. It was impossible to sleep through.

Since the Inn is directly on a busy main road we requested a quiet room, which we were given. Room was totally quiet at night. Spacious, clean with a comfortable bed. Bed is only 140cm which we found too small since we are used to 180cm. It was fine for one night. Very good sized shower. Breakfast was delicious and staff is ready to meet any requests deviating from the original menu.

The Inn was comfortable. The room was airy. Appreciated the tea-coffee maker in room and comp. waters. The breakfasts were good as were the dinners. Also liked the rear garden. We were there for the last day of the Badminton Horse Trials.

Stayed here countless times, and always get the same excellent treatment from Mike and the team. Breakfasts are good locally sourced produce and quick to serve. Burt is always on point with delivery! Rooms are spacious, and have character to be expected from a historic coaching inn. Easy access to the town.
