Rooms are spacious cosy and temperature in room perfect and love that it has character and window that opens for fresh air also a sofa area to chill not just a bedroom shower lovely good iron and hairdryer with tea and coffee facilities in room can’t find any faults loved it ! Staff very helpful.

Really great, proper pub with fab atmosphere and food. Super cool friendly staff and great, new, tastefully decorated room with lovely shower & all facilities including a big TV and very good quality mattress and bedding. Beats the large chain Hotels we normally use when visiting family hands down! Will be returning for sure.

Located in Thaxted, 8.4 miles from Stansted Mountfitchet Station, Farmhouse Inn provides accommodations with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Access to the neighbouring leisure facilities to relax in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfast was excellent with choice of buffet or selected cooked items from a menu. Food for dinner and lunch was also excellent. Room was spacious and made it comfortable for a week long stay where we could work, relax and sleep. Staff were always willing to help and the ability to refill water bottles with filtered water was a bonus and set us up for a day out.
Excellent breakfast. Nice pool facilities but need to be aware of children friendly hours, would be quite rushed if only staying one night with check in from 3pm. Dinner was very nice too, lovely staff Goram made great wine and steak recommendations.
The rooms were very big and the beds large and very comfortable. Lots of character, exposed beams and wonky floorrs. No breakfast available.
The Riverside Inn is a lovely pub and has a great outdoor beer garden - we had friends come and meet us several times and it was perfect for us. Also very close to Chelmsford town.
