Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We travelled for the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh and this place was a perfect choice with direct trains from the door step to central Edinburgh. There was a convenience shop a stone throw away too so we were sorted for dinner. A big display of wide selection teas and coffees was the highlight of the welcome pack. Very nice property. Clean and the hosts were great!
The Village Inn was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Wendy, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly and good company in the bar. We stayed twice to break our journey to England and back as it is halfway. We will definitely be back.
Staff we so friendly and couldnt do enough for us . our room was spotless and cosy and the bed was lovely and comfy ..
We had a few drinks in the bar each evening with staff and locals who made us feel so welcome..would definitely recommend and would book the village Inn again
