This is our go to place if we want a weekend away or a short stay for the lakes. Great value and well appointed rooms, friendly staff, cosy bar area, great breakfast and dog friendly. The recommended dog walk on SM is a really good addition. Always happy with the plough.

The friendliness of staff was exceptional. As we were visiting relatives in the village it felt like home from home. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. The place has been renovated to a fantastic standard and a real asset to the village which we hope locals appreciate. Breakfast was delicious, perfectly cooked . We didn't have dinner, but have eaten here in the past and the food is just wonderful.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a quite location with bubbling stream nearby. Very clean - spic and span! Good internet and wifi. The work alcove was useful as we had a few online meetings. Pheasant Inn nearby offers good food and friendly service

Booked the Station Hotel as a birthday treat for my mum and friend. From start to finish to finish they were well looked after by the Wonderful Stephen. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him. From check in to dinner service and even breakfast service he was there, a real nice gentleman. Thank you Stephen and your staff, for making my mums stay a thoroughly enjoyable birthday weekend.

Staff were very good, wonderful service, nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner in the restaurant and the chef went out of his way to accommodate my son’s requirements. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked, hot and plentiful.

Excellent apartment. Very spacious (ideal for the four of us), comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Great balcony area. Communications, directions, and instructions from the hosts were all very timely and comprehensive. Very easy check-in process. Casterton is well situated for access to the Lakes and Dales. We had a great meal in the nearby Pheasant Inn and several trips to the brilliant Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery.

Breakfast and dinner were both of a high standard. Delicious traditional homemade food cooked from scratch and very tasty. We found James and his team extremely helpful, with a good local knowledge of the area.

The apartment was very pleasant and clean. The kitchen contained all the equipment we needed for the limited meals we prepared. The Sunday dinner we had in the restaurant was delicious (and the dining area was well insulated from the Euros final - which I superstitiously didn't want to watch)

Breakfast menu was exceptional! Restaurant menu was exceptional! I received a phone call from 'Caroline ' a few days before arrival asking if I'd like a dinner table reservation as they would be busy because of the Euro final. Superb!

Very modern facilities in a much extended historic inn, close to the M6, the Lancaster Canal and Tewitfield Marina. Modern facilities throughout and a good traditional evening pub menu. Breakfast was excellent as was the service by all.
