It was very easy to find and close to the city centre.
Welcoming Staff .
showed me to my room.
A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

Breakfast was fab, was attending a local wedding so can't comment on the food however everyone said locally that the place was the best.

Quirky pub in a lovely country setting although feels cluttered inside.
Liked that the rooms had their own entrance. Accommodation clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast once served, was very good quality.

Everything was great, and the owners obviously try to do things a little differently from the competition. The food choices in the restaurant are distinctive and unusual.

The breakfast was fantastic. Sourdough bread with advocado, two poached eggs (perfection) and an option of bacon, smoked salmon or mushrooms. With an amazing hollandaise sauce with honey or mustard, just too wonderful. Worth going to the Five Bells for breakfast alone! Loved the shabby chic of the rooms, and the dining room.

A wonderful place to stay - huge rooms, large super-comfy bed, all very clean, thoughtful touches like shortbread and hot chocolate provided, and a delicious breakfast included. Staff were lovely. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Exceptional location superbly placed to discover the delights of the New Forest. The room was very comfortable and the staff particularly helpful and accommodating. The chef produced some amazing dishes which were extremely good value. I couldn't recommend the Filly Inn more highly.
The hotel is easy to find and access. Parking is plentiful.
The staff were welcoming and helpful.
Dinner was freshly cooked and better than expected.
Breakfast had an extensive choice and was excellent.
We had an amazing stay, Hugh and Sarah go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic. The animals on the farm were so great and we were able to help feed them. There are 4 dogs who were all so lovely to be around. The breakfast was fantastic too, so much fresh fruit. They even made us a packed lunch to take on our hike the next day. I would love to go back again. The area is beautiful and we had a lovely dinner at the Woolpack down the road.
Historic inn in lovely village with a car park. We went for one of the bigger rooms with private bathroom (room 4), which worked well. Quiet, comfy bed, good bathroom. Breakfast and evening dinner very good, well stocked bar with local beers etc. Friendly and helpful staff.
An historic inn/hotel. Very friendly staff. Great food. Room very clean and comfortable. Was visiting friends in the village and nearby Canterbury to ideal location. Would definitely use again on another visit.
