Dinner & breakfast food was well cooked as requested. We were seated in the bar area, which was devoid of other customers and felt quite chilly. An electric coal fire was present, but it was unclear if it was operational. The room, an extension to the traditional thatched pub advertised, lacked ambiance and did not feature the low ceilings that would have complemented the original structure. The decor and carpets appeared worn and seemed overdue for an update.

A lovely location with the most welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable with very polite and attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and as a Vegetarian Coeliac, that is usually not the case.

The room was super clean! I've stayed in quite a few guest houses across the UK, and this was definitely a winner in terms of cleanliness, its hosts obviously do a great job maintaining the premises. And it was really cosy!
