I recently stayed at The Buccaneer Inn on Friday, November 1st, and had a delightful experience. The spacious room features a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and ample toiletries. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the stunning views added to the charm. Debbie's warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The inn's location is convenient, being close to Babbacombe Theatre. While breakfast isn't served on-site, Angels Tea Rooms next door offers a perfect morning meal. I highly recommend The Buccaneer Inn for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
With a stunning location in Dartmoor National Park, this inn is set in the rural hamlet of Haytor Vale. Dating back to the 18th century, it offers fantastic food and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Ness was great at communicating and certainly made us feel welcome. Lovely cosy pub, great for walking and wonderful atmosphere in the evening with dinner. Food good and room was clean, excellent breakfast! Would certainly return and recommend, thank you Ness and Paul
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
My room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff were most accommodating. The location was what I needed to relax. Buckfast Abbey is a short walk away. I would most stay again at The Abbey Inn. Highly recommended.
Perfect location to break up a trip down to Cornwall. Dinner and breakfast both excellent. Lots of space outside to sit and have an evening drink before dinner. Boxer dogs are very welcome!
A basic, no frills pub with accommodation, the Abbey Inn has a traditional feel to it and a pleasant atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I had a pleasant stay. It sits right beside the River Dart and the view of it from the terrace was lovely. I briefly saw a Kingfisher flash along the river and then it was gone. My room was nice and clean and perfectly adequate for a single occupant and the shower and loo were fine. Good breakfast, all freshly cooked to order.
Location was perfect! I loved the river and it was very close to the motorway. Staff was friendly and breakfast delicious. It was a shame there was no chef to prepare dinner meals (which was explained well. Some things cannot be helped) so I had to find another place to eat after a long day of travelling. But staff was friendly and helped with some recommendations.
The room although small was very clean and very comfortable. All the food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner, with a wide choice. The staff were very helpful. Hotel in a lovely country setting.
Everything was excellent except the basin in the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. Looks like an Architect's
stamp but totally impractical.
Staff, service ,dinner, breakfast were all excellent and we would love to return.
Food fantastic although lacked fresh fruit at breakfast.
Dinner far exceed expectations
