Classic room over a pub. Lovely staff. Greeted us kindly when we arrived, showed us to our room (2 adults, 2 kids (14, 11). The room was fine: not glamorous, but it was comfortable and it met our needs. The breakfast the next day we quite good, and the servers at breakfast were particularly kind. The location was just right for us: quiet, pleasant spot in North Yorkshire.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Pretty little Georgian town on the old A1. Attractive old coaching inn from the outside. Pleasant staff. Room immaculate and well appointed (if a little cramped). Good breakfast.
Easy to reach, easy to park, the surrounding is nice and the inn typical. Diane prepared an excellent dinner for our arrival and the breakfast was also very good.
Dinner on the first night, Breakfast was ok. The beer garden, although garden furniture passed its best. Good priced food & drinks. Comfortable beds. Good quality carpets. Comfortable easy chairs.
The Inn itself has a nice ambiance. Breakfast was tasty and hot, tea was nice, great hairdryer, accommodation at rear of the Inn and handy for one's car, very relaxed stay but not short of high standards.
