Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Beth and Steve were delightful hosts. They provided so much helpful information and made us feel very special.
The Guest House is in the perfect location for exploring Ballater, and for our visit to Balmoral.
The view of the mountains from our room made it even more special.
Lovely hotel with old-fashioned charm and set in lovely wooded grounds with beautiful views. Clean and comfortable, and has nice bar and restaurant. The room was quite, spacious. The dinner was excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly.
We enjoyed the very short walk down to the river Dee where you can swim, paddle or walk along the river.
Kevin and Helen were excellent hosts. The guest house is amazing - a very tastefully developed old church (Auld Kirk). Great breakfast. The area is very nice with many interesting things to visit.
A great location and short walk to the village for walking around and access to restaurants and cafes. The B&B is in a large old house\inn, a little dated unless that is your preference for something a little more steeped in history vs, a little more up to date and modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent including a made to order hot breakfast if desired.
Fantastic location and a building full of character which the owners have maintained whilst incorporating modern comforts. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very high standard of catering - both dinner and continental breakfast.
Beautiful historic house settled in the middle of the woods with a beautiful patio overlooking nature.
Rooms spacious as well as bathrooms.
Good breakfast and dinner as well.
It was a wonderful stay in Ballater!
The hotel is full of old world charm. The staff are helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is continental with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The hotel grounds and gardens are spacious with plenty of red squirrels running amongst the pine trees.
A short walk from the hotel brings you to the lovely suspension bridge. Would recommend the hotel to family and friends. A lovely relaxing stay.
Wonderful, charming inn and delightful innkeepers. And what a bangin breakfast! Try the plum jam, they make it themselves. We were thoroughly happy.
