A really unique and memorable experience at The Spirit Vaults. Food and drink were first class as was the service. Staff were friendly, social and really personable.

The breakfast menu was adequate.
The bar and restaurant has a good ambience and the food is good also.
This was my first experience of boutique accommodation in the uk and quite different to what I expected. Having said that I enjoyed my stay which was only a night stopover.
My thanks to Mark the manager for allowing me to have use of the room earlier than the check in time and also vacating the room.
Mark also went to the trouble of getting me a taxi to the airport and ensured my pickup arrived on time. I really appreciated his caring concern…thank you Mark.
My only concern about the accommodation was the 5flights of stairs I had to negotiate to get to my room…..no lift. Luckily a member of staff carried my case up for me and Mark carried it down again…not good for older people with dicky knees🥴
Would definitely recommend but not for folks with dicky knees.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Great hotel for a short stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious family room.
Superb restaurant on-site, with fabulous staff. We invited friends to meet us there, and had a wonderful evening.
The breakfast was great, and included in the room rate. Excellent value.
Great little playground for young children.
Places like the Appleby Inn make traveling with family more affordable and enjoyable.
Room was lovely, bigger than we expected with a sitting area to watch tv, all very clean. Nice bathroom with step in shower, again, very clean.
Breakfast was presented nicely, cooked well, good selection.
We ate dinner here in the evening, again good selection and very nice food, good value. All staff were friendly and very helpful.
The location for our visit ideal. The staff were friendly (although when complained in the restaurant they were not happy) but reception staff and breakfast staff very helpful.the rooms were large. Breakfast on the second day tasty. Dinner in the restaurant very good value for money.
