Couldn't be better. Very comfy room, real ale, great food and lovely staff. Even got a sandwich made up as I had to leave before breakfast. A little gem which will be top of my list in the future.

Location ideal for our needs. Food always excellent: great veggie and meat breakfasts and delicious evening meals served in the bar. Staff friendly and helpful. Specific room request granted with thanks.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Brilliant guest house, extremely welcoming owners and well-equipped comfy rooms. I was especially impressed with the bottled water, fresh milk to make a cup of (Yorkshire!) tea - they had even thought about providing a bottle of water to fill the kettle. The breakfast selection was brilliant and cooked breakfast great quality. We had a really fabulous stay, thank you again for having us.
Very helpful, friendly & accommodating landlord.
Lovely breakfast.
Very good shower - really important after a long day on the Pennine Way.
Interesting, characterful property, with a lot of history I’m sure.
Laurie, the landlord has only recently taken over the Inn - It will be interesting to see how he develops it.
Good overnight stop for Pennine Way, as long as you have transport back to Dufton for the next day (which we did).
We had a great stay at the New Inn. Laurie was an excellent host and the room, pub dinner and breakfast were fab. I think it's one of the friendliest places we've stayed. Even our dog thought so. At one point he was even trying to serve from behind the bar! Laurie has plans to add a small campsite at the back, which will be a perfect stay for anyone under canvas.
Beautiful location tucked away just off A66.
Cozy and stylish inn, welcoming atmosphere.
Comfortable bed and bedroom with nice attention to detail. Delicious food and great friendly service.
The new crown inn is a very nice little place in a quiet village. Very nicely decorated and presented throughout.
Nice tea tray with kettle and biscuits, the bathroom was very nice. The bed was very comfortable overall. Plenty of storage with the large wardrobe. Free parking, and key provided for access late at night as we're going to a wedding nearby.
Lovely traditional old inn, extremely welcoming and cosy, very friendly staff. The room was pristine, comfortable bed with quality linens. We had to rush off in the morning so they prepared us bacon butties to go.
The staff were professional and pleasant. Made us very welcome from arrival till departure. The facilities were great and to sit in the garden before then after dinner overlooking the valley was spectacular.
