We liked the room, it was nicely decorated and dressed, the shower was great, the bed very comfy. There was a nice little lounge area for residents and two nice sitting areas to sit outside with a drink and look at the views. The dining room is full of character and the food absolutely delicious, the staff were attentive and very friendly. The pub is situated outside Grasmere village but it is an easy walk to the centre., overall we loved our stay and will be returning.

We had a great one night stay at the Waterhead Inn back in June on our way back to London. A beautiful location set on Lake Windermere. The hotel rooms were large, comfortable and had a king bed. We really loved our time sitting in the hotel/restaurant enjoying some drinks on a rainy afternoon. The hotel is stunning inside, beautifully furnished. The food and service were excellent.

The room was on the ground floor as I have mobility issues. It overlooked the lake. Having breakfast and dinner on the terrace was particularly nice. The staff was very helpful taking my breakfast to the terrace. The location could hardly have been better. A lovely hotel.

The Wateredge Inn has a lovely authentic feel. It’s a large property that has maintained a cosy and welcoming style with its decor and original features. Beautiful setting with its location right on the lakeside. Our room was tastefully decorated, with a very comfy bed and great shower facilities. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Large car park at the hotel, no parking issues 😊 thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent guest house. Mark and Amanda were very friendly and offered suggestions for walks which I personally greatly appreciated. The food was excellent with very fresh ingredients each day. Location brilliant if you don’t have own transport with bus right at door plus cottage only a stones through from the centre of town
