The Three Tuns, hotel in Almondsbury

Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle.

Historic building well updated. Comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast choice. I had room 4 which is ground floor, has its own front door and includes a kitchenette. Location is good. Right next to the castle. 2 min walk from river front and river front eateries. Large long stay car park next door.

Breakfast was (as before) wonderful - the first morning I totally deviated from my norm and had a full English - this was very good but I missed my previous treat - this I rectified the following morning. Dinner on my second day was lovely.

Our room was beautifully decorated, and the pub was lovely. The inn was in a quiet location, with ample parking space opposite. Dinner was okay; breakfast was excellent. They really do close up at 10pm though.

A real tucked away gem! Booked to stay here while travelling down to Devon, and it’s in a lovely little village so close to the M5, and yet so peaceful and tranquil. It’s a gorgeous historic building (three cottages combined to make The Bowl!) and the room was beautiful, the bed so so comfortable, and the staff absolutely lovely - fantastic service for dinner and for breakfast the next morning!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was great for dinner and breakfast was excellent too. Room was quiet and comfortable. The room was also clean and tidy. Overall, an excellent place to stay and better value for money than the larger chains.
