Amazing breakfast served the next day.
Parking right outside the room was ideal.
Interesting history to the building.
With a great location just 1 km from the A34 and 1.5 km from Newbury town centre, the hotel has been refurbished to reflect its 17th-century heritage.

Fabulous stay. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were decorated so well, every detail thought of. The whole environment was so well themed with the bar & restaurant also being lovely places. Food was good

The White Hart is an absolute gem. Quite expensive but worth it.
When we arrived we had trouble parking, even though there is a large car park at the back. It is an extremely popular place.
We stayed 2 night in extreme comfort - the bed was HUGE.

Perfect location for a visit to Highclere . Hotel was lovely spotlessly clean staff so helpful. Food in pub was outstanding and breakfast was fresh with great choice
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
A very charming country inn close by our destination for the following two days. The food in the evening was excellent, breakfast likewise. I would definitely go back if I were ever in the area again
Attending a wedding which was very near, so location was very good, although on Saturday evening it was very noisy as one of our rooms was directly above the bar. Restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful on Friday when we had dinner.
Loved getting a proper key rather than a digital key card. The rooms were rustic and homely and the staff were incredibly friendly. A great selection of tea and coffee as well.
We have booked a group for dinner, the food was o.k. but one person had to wait a long time for their dinner when everyone else was nearly finished. The breakfast was ok
The food was definitely the highlight! We ate at the pub for the Sunday dinner and the fishh& chips are spectacular :) The breakfast is also delightful :)
We stayed at the Hinds Head the night before attending a wedding. Location was perfect, just down the road. The service we received was excellent, super friendly staff. We were upgraded due to the room we booked had no access to open the window and it was a super hot weekend, so that was a lovely surprise! Our room was gorgeous we loved all the little extras, including a fan which was 100% needed. We also had dinner in restaurant which was also superb!
Despite renovations it has retained its rustic coach house feel. Room 6 was fab: bed was flipping huge! The chef deserves a medal: my dinner and breakfast were among the best I’ve had. The food alone tempts me back.
