Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Stayed one night during the TMB. Great location, right on the TMB route. The place is very clean and quiet. As I understand it’s owned by local skier’s association and only one guy is looking after it. Only serves breakfast (cash payment) but there’s few option around for dinner, or bring your own food. Don’t think they’re open on Mondays so check the days. Perfect stay, thanks!
all of the restaurants in Contamines-Montjoie were closed when we arrived there on Wednesday but we were able to get a delicious and very filling dinner at the hotel restaurant - only 22 euros for 3 courses, perfect for fuelling to continue the tour de Mont Blanc!
there's also a table football table in a small communal area that we enjoyed using in the evening
staff were helpful with local knowledge of the mountains and let us know about the snow we were going to come across the following day
The dinner experience was great, the staff are nice and kind and the rooms are tidy and comfortable, aside from being a bit small (which is good because they do not get cool easily)
Amazing views, amazing location. Wish I had booked for longer.
