Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Calm and rustic - very clean, welcoming goat (not a typo) and peace and calm. Great forest walk well signposted. Staff very helpful. Breakfast served to us and amazing wood-fired sauna for €10 each well worth it. Nice cafe/shop selling drinks/pottery and fabrics.
Super sweet Finnish wooden house, efficient air conditioning. It had everything we needed, is 150 m from the Baltic Sea. The owners were sweet and attentive when we didn't get the air conditioner to work (entirely our fault, we simply didn't press the start button long enough). They came, fixed it and brought us raspberries. Thanks a lot!
The hotel is right by the water front / almost on the board walk. We had a very lovely view from our room. The room itself was very cozy and even provided Finnish silverware and cups, plates etc. it’s within walking distance to a hill with a panoramic view and the old town.
We also got free coffee and were greeted by the owner’s dog in the morning.
Just to say we were booked in here a few days later, so more in that review. However, main purpose of staying here, as it was back in 2011 is the proximity to the Finnlines Ferry Terminal. 10 minutes by car if that. Stairs to upper hotel rooms in buildings A, B and C have shallow steps and a handrail which my father with limited mobility could manage.
Value for money in Naantali. Everything was good, the room and bathroom were clean. There was a kettle to make tea/coffee. The microwave and refrigerator were in a common area and not in the room. Breakfast was typically Finnish style, porridge, yoghurt, berries, fruit salad, fresh rolls and bread, cold cuts cheese, cucumber slices, gherkins, cheese, tomato, sliced paprika, hard boiled eggs, enough to eat. Parking was on the premises and included in the price. Supermarket nearby, one or two fast food places very nearby.
- high speed wifi
- well-equipped kitchen with all the necessary ingredients to cook a proper meals
- functional washing machine and dryer
- sauna (which we have not used)
- cute garden with a swing seat
- toilets are separated fr the bathroom
- free parking
- host is very reactive
- for people who are into design: a lot of the tableware are from Littalia, which is very cute and supportive of the Finnish design
We loved the rustic 17C house; the space the living room we had to ourselves; the country home-run atmosphere; having only the option of chatting or reading in the evening (I.e. no TV or Internet); the friendly goat, the swallows, the peace and quiet; the friendly staff.
The farm's allure was enhanced by the picturesque beauty of the old Finnish farm houses, creating a truly charming atmosphere. The rooms left a lasting impression with their cleanliness and good condition, providing a comfortable and worry-free stay without any mold or problems. The breakfast was truly exceptional, adding a delightful touch to the mornings.
