Stayed here for a month and didn't want to leave, that says a lot! Hostal run by a kind and caring family. Homely vibe and almost straight at the surfspot. Really clean. The village has all your basic needs. You don't need much in a beautiful place like this :)
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
I loved the relaxed vibe, the really good Yoga classes and so many hammocks to chill. Into town its just a 5min bike ride or a 15min beach walk, so close enough if you want to go party and far enough to have a good sleep.In the evenings you always find people heading for dinner. I had my very first female surf teacher with Shae. She could exactly identify what I am struggling with, explained very clear how I can improve and worked with me on that.
So all in all: Good place to do some vacation from travelling :)
Everything was perfect, the location is right at the beachfront and 3 mins away from a supermarket and a bus station, but far enough from the center to be calm and tranquil. The host is nice, the electric stove wasnt working in the beginning so she quickly went to buy a new one
The property is ideally located on the point of Montanita, away from the noise of downtown. If you are a surfer looking to spend more time surfing than partying, this is the place for you. The terrace looks over the break, which is ideal to keep an eye on conditions all day long. There is a variety of food places nearby.
Secondly, make sure to try the breakfast and dinner they offer to guests. Meals are reasonably priced, fresh and delicious.
The common room area was nicely made, they organized some events that were great like dinner (12$) and yoga (8$). The community had an overall great vibe. Some of the staff was very nice trying to make our stay pleasant. The Canadian guy was extremely helpful supporting us in any way. The hostel is located in a great area that is a bit outside the main party district. the beach area was very nice. The breakfast and other food was also amazing!
