Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The view and location are great. Most of the staff is very friendly. Dinner was unexpectedly amazing. The daily special tuna was great. Nice pool and good service by the pool bar staff.
Staff was great. There was an issue with the Booking.com booking, but it was handled brilliantly. Staff also helped sort out my route to Drake Bay. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great (the restaurant is also a very good place for dinner).
The host, Wendy, did an exceptional job of making us feel comfortable and welcome. She shared her experience growing up in the area, helped us make dinner, and even took us to the beach one day. The pricing was very reasonable and the location next to the bus stop was optimal for my travel plans. Wendy spoke very good English and gave us tips for navigating Uvita and Dominical. We had different amounts of friends staying on different nights and Wendy didn't make us change rooms or cause any issue with this.
Location, style, comfort, elegance, service, staff, peace, quiet, nature....but the greatest surprise was the chef and cuisine: THE MOST SPECTACULAR, FRESH, PERFECTLY PREPARED DINNERS one can dream of. (and we are picky foodies from ITALY!). We loved the 4x4 drive up to Kura, a lot of fun!
The hotel is owned by an Austrian family, this is the reason why the service is better than elsewhere, we had dinner, was a bit pricy but good, breakfast was also okay. The rooms would need to be refurbished, but they are clean and overall we felt comfortable. You can see many birds early in the morning, Tucan etc. The garden ist beautiful.
This place is a gem between the green of Uvita. I loved spending the last days of a fantastic holidays in CR. Lucy and her daughter made us feeling home, always smiling and sharing great suggestions to spot. They were very professional in cooking as well. We tried both the breakfast and the dinner. I wish I could have extended our stay.
The house is very spacious and cosy, nicely decorated and with modern bathrooms; very clean too. They are great hosts, giving recommendations about the area and helping with any requests. Food is outstanding: breakfast is superb, generous and very high quality. We also had dinner at their restaurant (Sabor Español), which was incredible: everything is cooked to perfection. Location is great, very close to the national park.
