Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Miguel and his family are yery kind and help you with everything you need. The Hostel is made very naturally and gives you the nicest vibes in El Cocal.
I definetly recommend you to do some Surfing lessons with Miguel. He really take time for the lesson and explains from the beginning to the end how to get things done. Even if you are a beginner.
Pura Vida
Nice hotel in a green area. It's more a guest house than a hotel because it's a lot more personal because of the lovely staff. The rooms are simple but very clean, big bathroom and lots of plants everywhere, which I loved. The terrace is fantastic. We saw many birds incl. the red macaws fly by. There is a kitchen for guests to use. The pool was also nice to have in the heat. It takes about 15min to walk into Quepos and it's definitely a nicer place to stay than in Quepos town, IMHO.
Amazing experience, like living with a local family. William and Olga are outstanding people. We had breakfast and dinner together, ate fruit from the backyard tree and they helped with information when needed. After staying two nights I learned that Olga is a great cook, that William is very good at pingpong (he has a table across the street) and that they both have a good sense of humour. Thank you and "pura vida"!
Beautiful location in the middle of nature! 45min drive to Manuel Antonio National park, where its best to buy tickets online in advance. Next to the accomodation there is a real nice (short) hiking trail which leads to a viewpoint, waterfall and River Pools where you can take a fresh Dive. The horses and dogs around are nice! Markus prepared a nice dinner 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast was also really nice!
Markus was a great host, which is not a given in Costa Rica. The bungalow was clean, the kitchen well equipped, the beds large. I would recommend ordering dinner in addition to breakfast. The whole place is located in the jungle where you can take a great hike to the waterfalls where no one else will disturb you. So you can go for a short trip here or just relax by the pool which is big enough for swimming.
One of our best accommodations in Costa Rica and we would love to come back.
Beautiful forest area, loved the hike to the falls, pools. We could just stay for 1 night, would have loved to stay for longer. We had simple yet delicious dinner there which was pasta and cake. Breakfast was good too.
The room was comfortable and immaculately clean with a powerful A/C. The bathroom was a good size with a nice shower. The room has a little private terrasse which we enjoyed. Also lovely greenery around and very good access to the restaurant and beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner was excellent.
These two guest houses are nestled in a magnificent jungle landscape on the grounds of a small farm. There are horses, chickens, a cat and two dogs. We particularly liked the paradisiacal jungle river, where you can also swim. The hosts are incredibly helpful and nice and make a great breakfast and dinner for their guests in the open-air kitchen. We felt very comfortable there.
Guest House Pura Vida is the perfect place to stay if you want to go to Manuel Antonio Nationalpark. The owners are very friendly and help you with anything. They even prepared a folder where you can find a plan what to do in Quepos and surroundings, depending on the amount of days you are staying. We only stayed 1 night and trusted their recommendation for sunset drinks and dinner and it was totally worth it! Especially the place for sunset drinks was so beautiful!
