This is our favorite hotel we stayed for our 3 week trip in Colombia. The hotel sits right next to the famous Camino Real path between the two beautiful towns. We even did night hike a few times from the town to the hotel. The hotel is very safe and quiet. The hotel also has a lovely open air kitchen and living room you can use. The balcony is so peaceful and beautiful. The hotel owners are extremely helpful and sweet. Their dogs are super cute!

This is a real hidden gem in Villanueva - the pictures do not do this place justice! We arrived in the dark and the views that we woke to were amazing. It's a tranquil little haven with excellent facilities and the most warm and welcoming hosts. Just one thing to note - the location on booking.com is incorrect, so this caught us out. This accommodation is a 35 minute walk out of town. Having said that, this would not put us off booking again now that we have experienced what it has to offer. If you want a peaceful place to switch off this is definitely it! If we hadn't been doing the Camino Real hike we would definitely have extended our stay for another few nights. We absolutely loved it!
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Words don’t do justice to this very special place. It was perfection. Exquisite surroundings and decor, a comfortable bed and superb outdoor bathroom with view and delicious breakfast and dinners. But most of all, it’s Karen and Johan that have made this place a forever treasured memory for us. They are compassionate and thoughtful human beings - the kind that make this world a better place. We would return in a heartbeat.
Beautiful yet rustic hotel in the centre of Barichara, 2 blocks away from the mirador for sunsets. The grounds are full of plants flowers and birds. The staff is especially Nice and breakfast excellent. Highly recommend if you are not looking for modernity. Yet totally functional
It was a beautiful accommodation less than 5 minutes walking distance to the town square. We could park on the streets, had no issues with late check in, and were greeted by friendly staff. The rooms were a bit sparse and windowless (due to architectural style), but beautiful inner courtyard and lovely garden (with hammock) made up for it. Use of a collective kitchen (and coffee maker!) was another plus.
Lovely small B&B with a pool & great bedroom & bathroom. Well located easy walk to the town for dinner & breakfast. They did our laundry also for a good price & booked us a taxi to the bus station the next morning. Definitely recommend
Staff is extremely helpfull, hostel is clean, away from the noise. Dorm room is spacious! Only a few minutes walk to the main square and the beginning of the walk to Guane.
One of the best hostels ever! With a lot space to chill out. Amazing view, well equipet kitchen. The restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's soo delicious. Short walk to where you can take buses to Guane or Barichara.
Location is great, only 3 blocks from main square so not too noisy but close enough for an enjoyable stay. Very close to ecological walks. Love the inner court yard. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was yummy. Gloria was very kind.
