Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
This place is a real gem. It is surrounded by trees but still close to the town by car.
We felt really welcome since Klaus and his wife are great hosts. They built the place on their own and there must have gone a lot of passion into this project. The living room is super cozy, breakfast and dinner were homemade and excellent. Klaus also gave us recommendations for hikes and activites nearby.
Klaus makes this place feel like better than home. Great location. Comfortable beds. Home cooked breakfast and dinner. It is truly one of the best places I have stayed.
I am grateful we found this hostal. If I am lucky enough to be in this area again, I will definitely stay here again!!!
Klaus is an amazing host. Another you want or need, he will help you with. Great breakfast and dinner.
Klaus is very accommodating. We arrived a 1am off the ferry, and he greeted us with kindness and the offer of hot tea.
Arriving at Hostal La Minga after a long journey over unpaved roads and a delayed ferry felt like coming home. Klaus is a very friendly host who has many useful tips to share about things to do in the surrounding area. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Klaus serves a delicious breakfast with the best coffee I've had in Chile and also offers dinner if you want it.
The family cabin was very big, open. The cooking amenities were basic but worked. Great reception area too with nice staff, a bar and we enjoyed a great dinner with good wine! They even gave us free desserts for my birthday. Very nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view of the Yelcho lake
Very quiet, serene location just steps from a beach. You can hear the waves at night.
Héctor, the host, was very committed to making sure our stay was comfortable. He started the fire in our wood burning stove for us several times. Mornings were quite chilly in early November. Located just 3 km north of Chaitén it was close to town for finding dinner spots, and close to several hiking spots.
Due to a staff absence, he was not able to provide us with breakfast during our stay, but gave a discount to offset this.
Great location on the Chaiten Fiord. The accommodation is located in a cozy cabin connected to the main home of Hector the innkeeper. Brand new shower and bath, wood stove and king sized bed with comforter. Hector didn’t make breakfast but gave us a discount on the room so we could get breakfast in town. Hector was very enthusiastic and helpful.
The bus was late because of delays with the ferry but Roberto waited for us to arrive and welcomed us. The location is perfect and Jacqueline treats you like you are part of the family. Breakfast and dinner were superb.
The hotel is much nicer than in the pictures. The location at the lake is very impressive. The hotel has a great -almost Alpine- vibe. The fish in the restaurants comes from the lake itself and they catch it themselves.
But what I liked most was the staff: very professional and cool at the same time. That’s especially true for the young woman at breakfast and dinner.
