Clean good bed! Pleasant host, dinner and breakfast
Set in a charming historic building characteristic for the Emmental Valley, the family-run Gasthof Bären serves fine Swiss cuisine and a daily buffet breakfast.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Clean a lovely rooms we have been given. Roomy and clean bathrooms. Very secure room locks and best part was the Bern Pass which were pre-organised, Very welcoming atmosphere. Sense of trust and given a very good family feeling. Share kitchen and system of storage is very well thought of and have a lovely dinning room as well! Tram station right outside with around 3-4 minutes walk, convenient location to centre.
Personal touch in this place was excellent and well thought. Downstairs was like a guest house of your dreams. Our room did not have own bathroom but the shared one was super well organized and each room had own things there. Yard was also very cozy. For us the location worked very well, as we did not visited the city center of Bern.
An historic hotel with a 120+ year old lift to take us up to our floor. Very nostalgic. We ate dinner outside across the street where the hotel had a portable cafe set up and a small television for watching Euro 2024 football. Breakfasts in the hotel were plentiful, with lots of homemade breads.
Bus, tram station just right the corner walking 1 minute! Get out the door then right side the street is bar and restaurant. Only 2 stops go to central train station. Get guest card from hostel and it is free to take bus and tram. Everything is good. No regrets living this convenient place. I like everything especially they have kitchen and few of dinning tables as well either sit there eat or watch tv . Outside of window is local heritage old town.
