Loved the view from the balcony over the lake, perfect! Location on the lake and only 5-minute walk from train station couldn’t be better. Hotel sits above a restaurant so options are right there. Owner and staff were super friendly and kept our bags for a couple hours after our checkout so we could walk around a little before our train left. Great to have the Ticino Ticket included so we could also take the bus over to the even quieter town of Ascona. Breakfast was great, and quiet. Again, owner provided personal, friendly service and attention.

This place is spectacular! We had to cancel another place down the mountain which looked sketchy, this place had a small but mighty menu of home made gnocchi, a wonderful mixed salad presented beautifully and some roast beef that was delicious. Breakfast was delicious cheese and homemade jam. Even though it thunderstormed on us, we felt rested! And we really enjoyed our stay! I highly recommend the drive up the hill to this rustic beauty and charm of a hotel. Excellent!

Great central location and tranquil spot. We had the casa rustica to ourselves. Had a lovely breakfast in the garden. Bed was very comfortable and we borrowed the free bikes to get around town (caution: not flat!). It is more like an evangelical hostel than a hotel but all the modern comforts are still to be had.
We enjoyed a short stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were so kind and friendly when we had some car problems.

Comfortable simple room, hearty breakfast, great location next to the promenade, easy to find, wonderful restaurant for dinner. We stayed during a slow period so there was lots of open public parking in front.
Everything was just perfect! The staff was loveley and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and very clean. Beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. The breakfast delicious: Fresh bread, local honey, tasty cheese, perfect birchermusli...
There were many beautiful details such as the background music, olive wood accessories, flowers...

Our stay was great! From the warm welcoming, the location of the fantastic hotel with the unique art-touch. A beautiful, big room with a comforable bed, stunning bath-room design + very good breakfast. On the roof it' s a pool, where you can hang up + enjoy yourself with a book or just a drink and dinner with a wunderful view over Ascona & the lake and the surrounding.
