Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We stayed at the Aurora Bayside Inn July 2024. We were pleasantly surprised with the location. Included was a very nice floating dock on Great Slave Lake with a beautiful view. Tindi Air is right across the river inlet and we watched the float planes landing and taking off. It was really nice there. We stayed in the cabin which is basic but clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Yellowknife.
Excellent location beside the Heritage Centre walking distance to Pandavil (the only restaurant for dinner) and the Northern(a general store) easy to find and access
The location is excellent and the views of the sky & water are beautiful. The town is walkable from the Inn; Bush Pilots Monument is steps away, and The Sun Dog Cafe, Bullock's Bistro & NWT Brewery are not too far. Room was clean and well maintained. Shower was also very good - water temp & pressure perfect! The check-in & check-out process was also very easy.
Stayed 5 days. Staff was helpful and courteous throughout. Breakfast buffet was great for a quick bite before work; lunch and dinner was good as well. Rooms were clean and well-appointed.
I like the backyard of the inn so much, there is a private raft on the lake, when it snows, the raft and the lake are covered with snow, it looks like sea of cloud, like haven.
The owner John is very kind.
Very clean, everything in order besides a couple of plugs.
Convenient location: close to airport and town.
Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant at a reasonable price with good selection and fresh products.
It was a good place and the information was on time, confortable. Our contact Ramin was very kind, because we arrived at 11pm and she gave us some food for dinner and she was alert to tell us about the auroras.
