Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Evening cocktails and nibbles, lovely lounge with direct view of Athabasca glacier and changeable mountain weather! We had booked a mountainview room, but we were upgraded to a glacier view room on account of a significant birthday. Amazing.
The staff are wonderful.
Breakfast and Dinner in Altitude Restaurant were delicious.
Great overnight experience. Nice room. Access to a ‘private’ Glacier sky walk tour at 6.30pm. Great dinner at 8pm (with very friendly service and affordable but top notch food). Great breakfast at 8am. Access to glacier visit at 9.30am. Back on the road by 11.30am feeling very happy and contented.
The room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable (although the pilows were a bit hard), it was nice that there was a coffee machine in the lobby that was free for use at any time and means to make coffee/tea in the room. It was also nice that they served some snacks in the afternoon in the lobby. The staff was accommodating. There is only one restaurant that serves dinner and although the food was good quality and tasty it was a bit pricy. The view of the glacier from our room made the difference: it was amazing at any time of day.
The views were amazing, the welcome reception with cocktails & charcuterie added a lovely touch. The complimentary coffee was also very nice. The room decor is modern, spacious,
and comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was good but pricey. Also loved the all natural soap, shampoo/conditioner provided that was made from a local company.
The hotel location across the Columbia Icefields was perfect for our Icefields Parkway day following Jasper! The rooms are new, well maintained and clean. We had a room with glacier view! They also do an early evening reception in the lobby with drinks and canapés for guests. We had a lovely dinner at the Altitude restaurant and had great lunch at the cafe too. There are only 32 rooms in the lodge, we were very lucky to have booked one. It’s the best accommodation in the Icefields Parkway by far!
The dinner is very delicious! And the glacier view is so spectacular.
