Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The breakfast prepared by Denise was wonderful and supplemented with Alain’s fresh bread ! Alain’s travelogue of the area and suggestions for dinner were well appreciated.Thee room was well thought out and very comfortable.
Also the bonus fiddle playing .
Excellent place to stay in an old house. Room was decorated nicely and bed was very comfortable. Room and Inn were very quiet. I had to leave before breakfast was served, but the staff left me a bagged breakfast with a muffin, scone, yogurt and utensils. They offered to make me coffee if I wanted to take with me, but I declined. I would highly recommend staying here.
I loved this inn. The room was lovely and roomy. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was great. Biscuits AND scones, in addition to eggs, fruit, etc. Beautiful sunset view from the porch. Close to the boardwalk beach.
We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. As the inn is on a hill, this is the scene we woke to in the morning. Room was comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was excellent. Quick drive to beaches and restaurants. Definitely check out The Red Shoe!
We were extremely please with our whole experience at the Inn, staff were very polite and accommodating, breakfast was wonderful , would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Cape Breton.
What a piece of heaven! We will definitely be back. We had the main floor room which was enormous and beautiful! A beautiful Inn with a wrap around porch. It faces a beach which is one of 5. A wonderful spot to have a glass of wine on the porch or in one of the Adirondack chairs facing the water. The innkeeper was friendly and accommodating. Our breakfast was in the dining room and was scrambled eggs and sausage and homemade tea biscuits, muffins, danishes etc.
