The suite in the restored 112 year old home was well done, nicely furnished with a private deck, a few metres from the ocean. Wonderful breakfasts different each day and the dinners were excellent. The tides of the Bay of Fundy provide an ever changing seascape and the ferries come and go like clockwork.
The location is excellent and so are the hosts, Linda and Kevin. We stayed in the Garden Room which had its own entrance from the side of the house. The breakfast that’s included with your stay was absolutely delicious! We both also enjoyed the pan fried haddock for dinner and loved every bite!
This property looks out onto the bay from the upstairs rooms and the diningroom. It is also about a 3 minute drive to the Ferry to the mainland. We really enjoyed visiting with both Linda and Kevin, the owners. The breakfast was wonderful. We were given the option to have dinner in the evening chosen from a fixed menu. We took the dinner option two of the four days we were there and really enjoyed it!
The Inn is historic and makes you feel like you are living in a magnificent time and place. This, plus the very friendly and knowledgeable host couple and the many period and local furnishings, all add up to a truly wonderful experience!
Historic, well furnished and maintained inn with a friendly staff. We loved our room with a loveseat and refrigerator. It was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were good.We hope to go back!
Compass Rose is a well kept charming historical inn. our bedroom Calico had a comfortable bed, sofa, bedside reading lights and spacious bathroom. It also had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was included with an entree and fruit. Supper was available and it was OK ( but I know of no better choice on the island.) The island is magnificent!
