Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The room was huge and beautifully decorated. The king sized bed was clean and comfortable. We arrived late and had our dinner in the dining room. My husband's fish and chips were very good and my chicken penne with sundried tomatoes was outstanding. So good! Kim served us both dinner and breakfast and she was wonderful!
The Inn retains old charm while being somewhat updated. Quite enjoyed the complimentary breakfast! All of the staff we encountered were also quite pleasant.
Our 3 nights at the Georgetown Inn exceeded our wildest expectations! Bob and Chelsea were terrific hosts, welcoming, friendly, helpful and caring, and ALL of the staff were too! The rooms were cosy and lovely.
Georgetown Inn was built in 1840 and is a beautiful old building. We were on the second floor with steep stairs but Bob the owner helped us up with our cases. Quaint sloped ceilings in bedroom. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast included. Menu choice. A wonderful stay in a very small community.
