Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Ambience of a traditional country inn plus nice grounds for walking in. Nice music being played while we ate the food from our lovely Atlantic Canadian charcuterie board dinner - great selection of different kinds of salmon dishes. Good selection of breakfast dishes. We didn't use them but interesting that glamping was available on site.
The bed, bedding & pillows were top quality. The people were very friendly. The restaurant was not in service and we were not notified ahead of our arrival Due to the location of this facility being a distance from the nearest town, we then had to turn around and drive to have our dinner. That was a miscommunication on their part but otherwise it's a lovely place to spend a night.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. The bathroom was good - plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The breakfast was perfectly good. Some hot food as well as reasonable continental. The availability of tea and coffee 24 hours was very nice and the dinner we ordered online in advance of our arrival was great, because there is nowhere close by to get food. The garden is beautiful. unfortunately it was raining too much for us to take advantage of the walking trail.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tent/room was very cozy. The bathroom/shower building was nice and clean. The breakfast at the inn was wonderful. Really appreciated the extra measures taken as I am gluten free.
It is a lovely rural property and we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the Carriage House Suite as I couldn’t access the shower in the large bathtub. Unfortunately evening meal. Service was not available until later in the week, but were able to use the Inn’s utensils to have our bought in dinner in our room. Bed was very cosy and we had a good nights sleep. A decent breakfast provided in the morning.
Friendly host and dog, exceptionally nice hot tubs, comfortable cabin in wooded location. Ample hot water for waterfall-style shower. Simple but tasty breakfast fare and good coffee. The innkeeper even called us a few days later to say he'd found my husband's missing eyeglasses and would drop them in the mail!
Everything! The 3-room cottage we stayed in was so comfortable & perfectly furnished with everything we needed. The innkeeper Michael was very helpful & welcoming, telling us fascinating stories about the long history of the Inn & it’s large beautiful country property, and even preparing the best breakfast for us of our whole 3-weeks travels.
Although we arrived late at night, the Innkeeper was friendly and helpful. This is a great stop if you need somewhere to stay on your drive to and/or from NS or NB to the US. We decided to try the glamping which was spacious and comfortable. The hot tubs and breakfast were great too. Wish we had more time here!
Great room, quite, a real breakfast and staff was extremely friendly. Owner explained the history of this inn and all of his plans for the future visions he has.
loved the old home transformed into an inn as it had so much character. location is good as it is tucked into a beautiful pastoral setting in woods…feels like a oasis. buffet breakfast of frittata, muffins, etc was very tasty. owner and staff very helpful. enjoyed the outdoor patio to sit and eat our dinner. a very relaxing stay overall.
