We were delighted that Guttenbrun is finally open for guests. It is a Mallnitz symbol, has lots of character and it is in an absolutely gorgeous location. We were already in Mallnitz for the last 10 days ( we travel to Mallnitz every year for about 2 weeks in the winter and 2 weeks in the summer) when we decided to stay for a night there. In the end we couldn’t stay due to the reasons below.
Overlooking the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountains, Almgasthof Windischgrätz is a 5-minute drive from the center of Bad Gastein.

Awesome location on top of the mountain. Breathtaking views of Bad Gastein is a lifetime experience.
Super friendly, supportive owner and her husband. Also, they are very kind enough to provide fresh bread every morning for free.
The small town is very near to the hotel where you can buy all the essentials.
The apartment is very nice and clean, equipped with all the kitchenettes.
Definitely we will come back for another holiday. ♥️

My entire family LOVED our stay here. Renate is an exceptional hostess. She is kind, helpful, and provides the most delicious breakfast! We enjoyed her homemade baked goods, meat and cheese options, yogurt, coffee, and so much more. My husband is an avid fly fisherman and he chose coming here for the fishing. He was not disappointed. Renate was so helpful to him & he had a wonderful time. The little village is beautiful and has a very convenient market walking distance from our apartment. We would highly recommend visiting here & we thank Renate for everything she did to help make our trip so wonderful.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Well equipped, clean rooms, very-very kind and helpful owners and personnel, good location in Mallnitz. We had fantastic breakfast with our rooms, but the gold medal goes to the dinner - starter, soup, salad, main course and dessert, very tasty and nicely served every evening. We could also charge our e-car. Thank you! We’ll return!
I arrived a bit late but Vanessa provided all the needed information's to get some nice dinner and to store my bicycle. The room was nice and the breakfast was perfect. There is also a nice beer garden with some nice beer options. I can only recommend it.
I absolutely loved my stay in this beautiful mountain hideaway! Henk went out of his way to look after me and his guests. You could not ask for a more caring host. Also an amazing Chef, don't miss the dinners!! Mallnitz is the most beautiful spot so peaceful and many walks/hikes to do! Great location in the center of a small town. If you arrive from the north (A10 from Salzburg), make sure to go by the car train from Böckstein, google maps neither waze do not show this option that saves you a lot of extra driving
The dinners were amazing. For breakfast there was not a lot of choice but the quality of the food was excellent.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
A small wellness area with 2 saunas and infrared chairs to help relax after skiing / hiking.
It was a quick walk from the train station, and the ski bus stops right in front of the property. Getting around Mallnitz from here was easy!
The apartment was spacious and clean. The host family was really accommodating - we had a nice dinner with other guests around the campfire in the common area.
Located in the centre of Mallnitz it's an excellent starting point for hiking and/or skiing. Hotel offers solid dinner and decent breakfast. Staff was very helpful.
Very nice camp ground, good location for hikes and for day trips to explore Carinthia further. Very modern and clean facilities. Loved it here with nice staff. The town itself had great options for dinner and bars as well as the camp grounds own restaurant. Stayed 4 nights very resonable price. Highly recommend :)))
Very cosy and homely cottage, very clean and equipped with all we needed for a family of five.
The surroundings are beautiful and the garden invites to have dinners outdoors.
