The property sits up a hill with beautiful views of the hills around - the views are the real selling point! Nice little hotel, basic. The staff were really friendly. The walk into town is 10/15mins and there are lots of friendly dogs on the way.

Charming property, with beautiful garden and patio and shared area to make hot drinks and use of fridge. But most of all, it was our host Malka and her husband, who were exceptionally kind and helpful. I wasn’t well during our stay and Malka was very caring and spent a lot of time arranging a doctor’s visit.

I wish I could have loved this place like earlier reviewers but I did not. There is a pretty garden and my room was pleasant. If the friendly, helpful Andrea and Daniel mentioned by other reviewers ever lived at the property they don’t now, and I only saw the owner briefly during my stay. It’s just rooms all let out and you can use the kitchen. It was not what I expected from a “Posada” nor like other Posadas I stayed at . As a solo traveller this was a disappointing, lonely experience when I was here alone. When I had a problem it would have been nice to have had people around. The lock to both my door and the front door needed a particular “ knack “ which I struggled to achieve and at one point wondered if I was going to remain locked out in the street with no phone to ask for help. The Wi-Fi was down in the evening and again in the morning. Payment can only be made in cash which means the tourist exemption for VAT doesn’t apply making this more expensive than I had expected and means you must carry round huge wads of cash. I realise these are very personal experiences and a family, group or even a couple may have had a very different experience here, but then my review can only be my personal experience. I moved from here to a private room in a hostal which suited me much better and for which I paid by credit card.
Featuring a panoramic view of the hills and a garden, Hosteria La Morada is a charming inn built in local material such as adobe and decorated with Andean themes.

It has a perfect location, very close to town but in a quiet street. The garden is also beautiful and cozy. The rooms have a nice ambiance and are decorated with local materials. We also liked that we had our own kitchen. The room was very spacious for two, that was also nice.

The host Gisela, although she only speaks Spanish, was very nice and sweet. Hosteria in a convenient location, almost in the center, surrounded by several good restaurants. The room is minimalistic but authentically furnished. Light good breakfast.
Staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. Staff especially at dinner, was not very attentive. Dinner itself was ok, breakfast was good. Rooms and bathrooms are big, everything is nicely decorated and very clean - rooms get cleaned every day. Rooms are all arranged around the very well maintained garden and pool. There is plenty of seating in the garden.
The outdoor pool is heated and child friendly! So after a hard day of hiking, there is no better way to relax.
There is free parking, directly at the hotel.
This hotel is set in a colourful garden just above the town of Tilcara. The rooms are tastefully and traditionally decorated and the heated pool is wonderful for relaxing. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Gorgeous big, clean cabin-like room. Main lobby area where you eat breafast ( included) and dinner ( optional) was made from logs to give it that outdoor -cabin like feeling. Had lentil soup for dinner and it was delicious.
Very spacious and so rustic (in a good way). Well equipped and exceptional attention to detail. The cabins have a great view of the mountains to wake up to. Breakfast also provided which was sufficient. Good parking directly in front of the property. We don’t speak Spanish but the staff was great in terms of communicating with us by WhatsApp. Highly recommended.
The dome was very cosy and nicely decorated. The surroundings were also beautiful and we felt completely immersed in the nature. But what we liked the most was the kindness and hospitality of Facundo. He really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and looked after. He even kindly brought us dinner from town late at night!
Really nice resort! We stayed in one of the two casitas and it was wonderful: large, with a nice view and a hammock. The hotel has a small spa that has to be booked, we used it once and liked it!
The breakfast was nice, and the restaurant has great food. We had dinner once there and it was tasty!
The location is 7 minutes to town, but it’s uphill and the road is unpaved so be aware! Tilcara is super safe so no worries about walking back in the dark!
The staff were amazing, so warm & accommodating. The room was huge and very comfy. Loved the balcony & amazing views. The free thermal water soak was the cherry on top! The restaurant which served us dinner & breakfast was top notch. The food was extraordinary in so many ways, the waitress and the cook were Michelin star!! Bravo!
The property is a sweet room with a rustic feel that has a lovely terrace with a view of the village. Maria was extremely helpful and gave us a fantastic recommendation for dinner and some horse riding, and we were also able to wash clothes at the property. It’s a steep journey in the car to access the property, but very easily accessible by foot when out in the village.
