Great place in a dream spot. Amazing views, great trail to reach the Puesto Cagliero. Two to three hour walk in a beautifull forrest walking close to a turquoise river. Trai wasn't difficult. Simply amazing. Went through a different trail when coming down to discover two amazing lagoons, specially the Blue Lagoon. A must see.

Our room was very big, clean and warm. It was great to have the lounge area by the reception. Breakfast was surprisingly good - we were expecting boring toast and jam, it was much better. On the day of our departure the staff was only setting up breakfast but we asked if we can already have something and they agreed - big plus. No problem with parking. I'd recommend this place for anyone going to Patagonia. We also got a great restaurant recommendation, which was affordable as for El Chalten - also a plus!

Very cosy and warm room with nice view of the mountain. Very good wifi, kitchenette had everything we needed to cook our dinner. Provided coffee, sugar, tea, salt etc. Breakfast with cake, bread, apples etc.

The room was exceptional. Big, with a tv room, kitchen and a dinner table! Very clean and very new. Ander was a great host, very thoughtful. It was a great stay at a great price(end of season)
Restaurant part of the hostel where you can order breakfast or dinner (huge portions!). Nice common area. Dorms were cleaned every day and in general quite clean.

For the breakfast they provided scrambled eggs (just without any vegetables) - that's a plus compared to other hosterias/lodges I have stayed throughout my trip in South Patagonia.
Hair dryer was not provided in the room but you can barrow it at the reception!

Extremely friendly staff, we felt like part of the family after a few days. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is amazing and very recommendable. Staff can give excellent tips for hiking or climbing.
Rancho Grande is at a great location in El Chaltén - close to the start of all the famous trekking trails. The restaurant area is open 24/7 - food is great (huge and delicious Milanesas! By staying in the hostel, I got 10% discount for all dinners. The atmosphere is very cozy, perfect for an after-hike relaxation. The kitchen area is big, common areas are well-designed.
