Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The host is extremely welcoming and kind to her guests. She prepared dinner for us for the price of 15€ p.p. and it was delicious. The guest house is in a typical stone building with a sunny terrace with view on the valley and mountains. Parking is very appreciated since it's hard to find in the surrounding streets of the center.
If you would like true Albanian family experiences I would highly recommend Guest House Hasko. The rooms are in the upper floor of the house. Very friendly family, helpful, nice and simple. Rooms are clean, big and nicely furnished. The place is up in the hill of the town and gives the most beautiful view on the castel, where you can have your dinner or breakfast made from the host. It only takes you 15 minutes of walk to get to the main bazar street.
Our stay in this guest house was incredible - it's well situated, with clean, comfortable rooms and a beautiful view over the city (particularly at sunset). The family are also all wonderful people: the grandmother cooked us a wonderful Albanian dinner, our host offered to drive us to the bus station, and every interaction was full of warmth and kindness. I recommend this guest house very strongly, and will absolutely come back!
Edmond and his family were the perfect hosts. The guest house is located close to the bazaar and castle. The room is great with fabulous views over the town. The breakfast is outstanding, located on the top deck, views everywhere and with plenty of homemade food and lots of variety. You can also have dinner at the guesthouse. Beautifully cooked authentic Albanian food. Edmond was our guide for a day taking us hiking to waterfalls and gorges. We highly recommend this place to stay.
Keli and his family are very nice, they made us feel very welcomed from the start. It does not feel like a hotel, you get a very hommie feeling and exceptional service. There is an option to have dinner at the guest house and try some home made traditional food cooked by Jevi (Keli's mum), delicious.. Breakfast is very good with a very nice view. Good wifi. They offer you a pick up and drop off from the bus station.

The location in the countryside outside Gjirokaster was beautiful. Marcel and his family have created a rustic haven with modern accommodation they have just completed. Breakfast and dinner in the shade of fruit trees and grapevines, overlooking the vineyard was stunning. Chickens, a turkey and guinea fowl amongst the vineyard were constant amusement. Marcel was an outstanding host and couldn't do enough for us from the moment we arrived.
It is a family run guest house and the family are extremely nice and hospitable. Edmond helped us with anything he could. They offer breakfast and dinner - which were both amazing, home cooked and very special. The guest house is very nice, awesome view from our terrace, super clean and cozy room, very nice calm and relaxing vibe, very close to the bazar and the castle.

All the family welcomed us very warmly, and helped us to park the car which is not that easy in the old city center.
The room is clean and comfy. The vue from the terrace over the mountains is really nice, especially when dinner or breakfast.

The guest House Is located in the historical centre close to the main attractions. Excellent service and food. The owner is super kind and he cooked us traditional food for dinner. The breakfast is amazing with homemade jams and delicious omelette. All was perfect, beyond expectation!
